Christopher Hamilton Bell

Mr. Christopher Hamilton Bell passed away on November 18, 2023 in Oakland, California at the age of 28. He was born in Savannah, Georgia on September 9, 1995 to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence and Karen Cook Bell. He moved to Maryland at the age of six. At an early age, he found interest in science and math projects and would work on creating complex electronics projects such as a handheld Game Cube. He attended Glenelg Country School in Maryland and graduated in 2013 with distinction. He attended Carnegie Mellon University where he majored in computer engineering and later completed his Associate's Degree at Howard Community College. He developed an interest in psychology and spent two years as a psychology major at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. His love of computers led him to complete a software engineering boot camp with Hack Reactor in San Francisco. He was employed as a software engineer at Protenus in Baltimore, MD and moved to Oakland, CA where he worked for Twitch in San Francisco developing apps for Android. He loved to travel, loved hiking, gaming, learning new languages, and Dance Dance Revolution. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents Mr. Clarence A. Bell and Dr. Karen Cook Bell; his sibling Kirby Bell, and brother Clarence A. Bell Jr. (Nancy Stewart); his grandmother Mable Cook (Lafayette Cook) and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece and nephews. Services with Beall Funeral Chapel in Bowie, MD on December 30, 2023.
