Baldemar was born on December 2, 1988, in Andrews to Brenda Salcido Ortiz and Baldemar Ortiz, Sr. He graduated from Andrews High School in 2007 and was a self-employed handy man because he loved fixing things and helping others. He was kind, giving and always put other needs in front of his own. Baldemar will be missed by all his family, friends, classmates, and colleagues who loved him dearly and will never, ever forget the love that he gave to everyone who had the pleasure of being in his presence.
Survivors include his mother, Brenda Ortiz of Andrews, brothers, Donnie Ortiz and his wife Yadira of Andrews and Christopher Collins of Andrews; his sister, Priscilla Alvarez and her husband Isaac of Andrews; grandfather, Felix Ortiz of Andrews; nieces and nephews, Noemi Ortiz, Damian Ortiz, Ivan Ortiz, Izaiah Alvarez and Mialani Alvarez.
