1964 - 2022
Bambi Lynn Bailey, 57, of Lexington, KY, formerly of Grayson passed away on March 10, 2022 at King's Daughters Medical Center surrounded by loved ones. Bambi was born November 10, 1964 in Ashland, KY to the late Dallas Bailey and Glenna Carroll (Delbert) Box.
Bambi graduated from East Carter High School in 1982 and attended Transylvania University where she obtained degrees in psychology and physical education. She was of the Baptist faith.
She worked many years at the Methodist Home for children in Lexington, caring for children whom she came to love as her own. Upon closing of the Methodist home she started working as a Sergeant at the Fayette County Detention Center from which she retired. When she wasn't spending time with her family and friends, Bambi enjoyed cheering on the Wildcats and Bengals, relaxing with her beloved animals, and bowling.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by all of her grandparents, two uncles, a nephew, Charles Brewster, and a great-nephew, Zander Le'Chase Brewster.
She is survived by two sisters, Staci (Patrick) McDavid of Grayson KY, and Kristi Bailey of Sandy Hook, KY; two nephews, Drew Howard and Michael (Brittany Middleton) Justice of Sandy Hook, KY; four nieces, Tara (Jennifer) McDavid and Rhiannon (Trevor P'smier) McDavid of Grayson, KY, Andrea (Justin) Adams of Flatwoods, KY, and Charli Howard of Sandy Hook, KY, three great-nephews, Harrison Adams, Kane McGuffin, and Kaii P'simer) special friends, Wendy Thompson and Alichia Stanley of Lexington, KY and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson, Charlie Johnson, minister. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Grayson.
Visitation will be Monday, March 14, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
