It is with heavy hearts we announce Barbara Watkins Adamson transitioned to her heavenly father on May 21, 2025. Barbara was born September 10,1945 at Langley Air Force Base VA. She married her best friend Harold B Adamson in 1962, and they spent most of their lives together in Jacksonville FL. Barbara was many things to many people; Daughter, Mom, Sister, Aunt Barbara, Granny/Ganny/GiGi, Math Teacher and Friend. Her hobbies were swimming, crabbing, tennis, running, walking, reading, math puzzles, cards, dominoes, tutoring, traveling, camping and especially gathering with family and friends. She loved her students (Ribault Junior High & First Coast High Schools) and often referred to them as her "kids". Barb was active in her family and friend's lives as well as her church, her school and in her later years she embraced the fun and frolicking with her women friends in the Red Hat Society. Barbara was always quick to encourage, forgive and accept all with openness and understanding. Her smile was bright and genuine, she was the essence of sunshine, hope, love and joy.
