Barbara L. Aldi, 64, of Rotterdam passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 25th, 2025.
She was born in Schenectady on November 4th 1960 to Walter Sweet and the late Marilyn Moon.
Barbara had a vibrant hippie soul, a loving heart and a contagious laugh that will be remembered by everyone whose lives she touched. Her love for her family and friends unconditional. She enjoyed music, gardening and collecting antiques, but most of all spending time with her loved ones. Her beloved daughter Robin (Dakota) and grandchildren Calvin and Mikey lived right next door in recent years and she enjoyed quality time with them.
Barbara's most recent employment was with the NYS Police where she finished her career before retirement.
In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her loving stepmother Carol Sweet, her beloved husband husband Michael in 2017, sister Linda and brother Stephen.
She is survived by loving children Mickey, Mark, Kelly, Shawn and Robin, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, father Walter, sisters Pamela and Amy, brother Phillip and a host of extended family.
A visitation will be held on Saturday August 2nd from 12pm-2pm with a service immediately following at 2pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd Colonie NY.
