Edith Aldi passed peacefully on Friday morning May 10, 2024 at the Summit at Plantsville. She was born in Southington on February 27, 1930- the youngest child to Catherine (Galiette) and John Aldi. Edith worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 32 years as a secretary in the Overhaul and Repair Division. She was well-liked and respected by so many people due to her strong love and devotion to God. Her kindness and generosity will forever be cherished. She loved make-up and for many years was a consultant for JAFRA Cosmetics. Edith enjoyed traveling- visiting Italy, Canada and Jerusalem to name a few places. Left to mourn include her devoted son Dean, daughter-in-law Debi and her grandson Kristopher Aldi, as well as, 2 nieces LouAnn Sieruta and Roz Andreoni plus 2 nephews John Morelli and John Aldi. Edith was predeceased by her sisters Amelia Morelli and Louise Sieruta and 4 brothers- Cressie, Bob, Jack and James Aldi and nephews Joseph Morelli and Michael Aldi. Her family is very appreciative and thankful for the care and love that Edith received in her last years at the Summit..
Friends may visit with her family on Monday, May 13th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Beecher & Bennett – Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Avenue, Meriden. All may attend her Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. by directly going to St. Luke Parish / Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage Street, Plantsville, CT.
