It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Barbara Stone Anderson, who left this world peacefully on March 28, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on August 5, 1935, in Fort Worth, Texas, Barbara was the cherished daughter of Lee Guy Larson and Audrey Stone Larson. She spent her life devoted to her family, friends, and her community, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.
A graduate of North Texas State College, Barbara excelled in her professional endeavors, serving as the office manager of Elmer's Pool Service and the owner of M. Her commitment to her community was reflected in her active role in various organizations, notably as Secretary and Activities Chairman of the Lone Star Region Vintage Chevrolet Club of America, an ambassador for the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Secretary with the Arlington Fourth of July Association, and a devoted volunteer with the Victims of Violence Organization. Her talents and dedication also shone brightly when she was honored as the 4th runner-up in the Miss Fort Worth pageant in the 1950s.
Barbara was a devout member of the First Baptist Church of Arlington, Texas, where her faith permeated her life. She participated in the Story League, served as a Cub Scout Den Mother, and dedicated her time to delivering Meals on Wheels, helping those in need with her compassionate spirit.
In remembrance of Barbara's extraordinary life, her family invites all who knew and loved her to join them for funeral services.
