Obituary
Barbara J. (Nehiley) Bachler, 71, of New Port Richey, Florida passed away on August 7, 2023, surrounded by loving family at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice in Providence after a long hard fought battle with cancer.
Barbara was born to the late William and Georgette Nehiley on September 3, 1951 in Boston, MA. She graduated from Hyde Park High School in 1969, where she was active in The Valiants and later the Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corp. After retiring and moving to Florida she enjoyed shuffleboard, playing bingo, the beach, and spending time with her family and friends.
Barbara leaves behind her three loving children, Edward (Candice) Archambault from Hampstead, NH, Nadine (Brian) Laroche from Pelham, NH and Steven (Nicholas) Archambault from North Providence, RI.
Barbara will be missed by her siblings Richard (Sherry) Nehiley of Auburn, ME, George (LeeAnn) Nehiley of Great Falls, MT, and June (Bruce) Ebell of Montrose, CO. Barbara was preceded in death by her older sister Georgette and her husband Larry Stempkowsi.
Her four grandchildren, who loved her so much, are Artemis (Flynn) Robbins, Alyssa (Josh) Whitney, Andrew Archambault, and Nathan Archambault. Barbara also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, along with many friends from the NH and FL area where she lived. She had two very special friends who helped her so much during times of need while living in New Port Richey, Doris and Deb. You were both very special to her.
Back in 1984, Barbara met, and married her love, Alan Whyte, who passed in 2001. They are now reunited along with family and friends who left this life before her.
Barbara's wishes were to celebrate the life she lived. And her kids will be doing that on October 28, 2023, in New Hampshire, as a celebration and remembrance of her life. Details will be announced at a later date.
The family would like to thank the great staff of Beacon Hospice and Hope Health, for taking such loving care of our mom while she battled her illness. Donations can be made to either hospice in memory of Barbara.
