Barbara Barnett Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory - Bartlesville on Jan. 30, 2026.
Barbara Jean (Brady) Barnett, a woman of profound devotion and a lifelong resident of the Bartlesville and Ochelata areas, passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 79. Barbara was born on December 23, 1946, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Floyd Brady and Ella Barnes.

Her life was defined by a beautiful and enduring love story. Barbara met A.C. Barnett Jr. in grade school, and the two fell in love early in life. They were married at the young age of 16 and shared over 50 years of marriage until A.C.'s passing in 2011. Together, they built a foundation of loyalty and family that served as an inspiration to all who knew them.

Barbara was the most dedicated, loyal, and loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, and grandmother in the world. Her children and grandchildren often spoke of her incredibly selfless and nurturing nature. Her primary goal in life was simple yet profound: she wanted everyone around her to be as happy as she was. She poured her heart into her home and her family, creating a legacy of unconditional love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Brady and Ella Barnes; her beloved husband, A.C. Barnett Jr.; and her sisters, Pauline Fairchild, Peggy Barrow, and Patsy Kemp.

Barbara is survived by her four children: Allen Barnett and his wife Rena, Peggy Day and her husband Richard, Bobby Barnett and his wife Deborah, and Michael Barnett and his wife Shala. Her legacy continues through her six grandchildren: Richie Day and his wife Ashleigh, Robby Day and his wife Lisa, and Colton, Lyssa, Baylee, and Reese Barnett. She was also the proud great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren: Reed, Sutton, Lennox, Lola, Ollie, Hudson, and Miles. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings, Mary Lewis, Paul Brady, Naomi Herbert, and John Brady and his wife Jan, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew who her.
