Barbara Ann Bartholomee

Barbara Bartholomee, 74, of Rockford passed away at 5:13 p.m. Thursday, August 17 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center.
She was born December 23,1948, to Shirley (Smith) and Lemuel E. Bartholomee. She is a 1966 graduate of Guilford High School and a 1970 graduate of Maranatha Baptist University. After a career in Columbus, OH, she returned to Rockford to care for her mother. She was a member at First Baptist Church, Rockford, where she participated in the music ministry with her trumpet. Barbara loved music, she sang in college choirs, and played her trumpet in bands and solo work.
She is predeceased by her mother, father, and brother David. She is survived by a sister- in- law, two nieces, and several cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 5304 Charles Street, Rockford, IL, on Saturday, September 30th, with Pastor David Huffstutler officiating. A refreshments reception will follow to greet the family.
Burial will be at Willwood Burial Park.
