Barbara Bembo Obituary
Barbara retired from the Santa Rosa County School Board after 30 years of faithful service. She was an active member of St. John Divine Missionary Baptist Church in Milton, Florida, where she served as a Deaconess, Finance Secretary, and Choir Member. She never met a stranger, as she always treated everyone with Agape love. She valued friendships, as well as relationships, which set her apart in the church and the community.
Barbara is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 62 years, Deacon Wilbert Bembo. She is also survived by their two children; Michael (Priscilla) Bembo and Teresa Hoose; sister, Brendolyn (John) Lock; brother, Ronnie (Linda) Lewis; grandchildren, Anthony (Courtney) Gooden, Michael Bembo II, Christopher Scott, Myesha Bembo, and Portia Bembo; four Great-grandchildren; two God-sons, Daryl (April) Smith and Jeremy (Kei Shanna) Ellis; and a host of in laws, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral service begins at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at St. John Divine Missionary Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Milton Keyser Cemetery.

I will miss you, Ma Bembo... you always gave the best hugs, have an unshakable faith in God, and will be missed by all that heard you laugh or when you made them laugh. You never had a bad word to say about anyone, and always had encouraging words. love you, and may God keep you safe and protected.

I want to express my condolences to the Bembo family. Mrs. and Mr. Bembo have always been such fine neighbors! I will miss seeing her beautiful smile. I met the 2 of them years ago when my dear friend who has now passed as well, introduced me to the both them. My friend(Vicki) used to work with Mr. Bembo at Monsanto. You have such a nice family and I know it's because of the fine example of Mrs. and Mr. Bembo. My prayers are with the family that you find peace in the memories that you cherish forever!
