Dianne Dunlap Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton on Feb. 3, 2026.
Cheryl "Dianne " Dunlap, age 78, went to be with the Lord and Savior on January 28, 2026, surrounded by family and friends.

Dianne was employed at the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's office for 14 years; she started as a courier and finished the last few years at the front desk before retiring in 2015. She was a long-standing member of the community. But she always said that her greatest accomplishment was becoming a mother. To know her was to love her and she greeted everyone with a smile on her face. She was definitely "ONE OF A KIND".

She is proceeded in death by her loving husband of 20 years, Larry Dunlap; daughter, Deana Smith; and parents, Virgil and Tootsie Smith.

She is survived by her daughter, Brandice (Chad) Sutton of Milton, FL: stepson, Gary (Elena) Dunlap of Pace, FL; bonus daughter, Emma Gomez of Milton, FL; brothers, Mike (Cheryl) Smith and Ward Smith; sisters, Sue Smith and Janet (David) Martin, all of Tallahassee, FL; niece, Amber Smith of California; five grandchildren: Collin (Ashley) Sutton of Pensacola, FL, Dalton (Rachel) Dunlap of Auburn, AL, Brook (Nate) Muller of Land O Lakes, FL, and Cohan Dunlap of Pace, FL; bonus grandchild, Addison Miller; great-grandchild, Zeke Dunlap; as well as numerous friends and co-workers.

Services will be held at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton on Thursday, February 5, 2026. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm with the funeral starting at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Crain Cemetery.
