BERBERT, Barbara Ann, Barbara Berbert, 88, passed away peacefully on 2/21/24. She was preceded in death by her parents Guy & Helen Tickle & her sister Judy Belcher. She is survived by her loving husband Louis who was so loyal and caring to her always. Her brother Ben Tickle & sister Kitty Pauley. Her children; Joey, Rodney (Holly), Megan (Scott), and Lance (Breanna); 17 Grandchildren; Justin, Cole, Chase, Cooper, Hannah, Logan, Ella, Jessica, Haylee, Josh, Grant, Hayden, Allie, Alyssa, Skylar, Julianna, & Bricen; and great grandchildren; Cohen, Blake, Lainey, and Marlie. Barbara was a devoted Christian and took every opportunity to spread the gospel. She grew up in Yards, Virginia. She attended Graham High School and her senior year (1952) was voted Home Coming Queen. She went on to business college and afterwards worked for General Motors. She then met Louis and shortly after they were married. He was drafted into the Army, and she stayed back and waited for him. Upon his return, they moved to Richmond for a job he got at Dupont. They made Chesterfield their home and Barbara stayed home as a homemaker. Barbara was very involved in her church. At first Bellwood Baptist & then for the last 43 years at Oak Grove Baptist. She served on many committees, took notes for the business meetings, worked in Sunday school, and she ran Vacation Bible School for many years. In her downtime she enjoyed crafting, watching sports, spending time at Beulah Pool, & spending time with family. She will be greatly missed & left this world making it a better place. Huge thanks to Commonwealth Senior Living and Traditions Hospice for her care.

Louis, Lance, and Family,
Prayers for all of you with the Heaven Home Going of Barbara. I enjoyed our time together when we were in the Church Bowling league together many years ago. Knew Barbara through her sister Judy. Always had fun being around all of you. So sorry for your loss. Just know they are having a great family reunion in Heaven. Hugs, condolences, and continued prayers.
