Memorial service for Barbara A. Bolduan, 79, Aberdeen will be 10:30 am, Thursday, August 31, 2023, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Jacob Smith officiating. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery. Barbara died Wednesday, August 23 at Primrose Memory Care and Cottages.
Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, 1111 South Main Street is in charge of arrangements.
Barbara Alice Bolduan was born on February 25, 1944, in Aberdeen, SD to Archie and Adella (Maschke) Bolduan. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. This is the area where she grew up and attended school. She graduated from Aberdeen Central High School and Northern State College. She moved to Racine, WI where she taught second grade for thirty-five years. After her retirement she moved to
Colorado Springs, CO and later moved to Aberdeen to be with her brother.
Barbara was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. As a child she was called a Tomboy, always climbing trees. She attended many Aberdeen Pheasant Baseball Games with her dad. She watched sports, especially the Milwaukee Bucks and Green Bay Packers. Her favorite professional baseball player was Mickey Mantle. She also loved traveling with her camper and hiking.
Grateful for having shared Barbara's life are her brother, Ron Bolduan, Aberdeen, nephews, Kenneth Bolduan, Rick (Keri) Bolduan and niece, Karen Bolduan.
Preceding Barbara in death are her parents, Archie and Adella Bolduan, brother, Frederick, infant brother and sister-in-law, Darlys Bolduan.
