Barbara Guillory Boone was born on May 6, 1950 in Evangeline Parish to Herman Guillory and Bessie Berzas Guillory. She was devoted to her Lord and Savior, and was a prayerful member of Riverside Church of Christ where she faithfully attended worship. Barbara was a loving and caring person who always wanted to help those in need. She worked for Acadian Ambulance for many years as a paramedic, and later in life she returned to college to further her education receiving her degree in nursing. She worked for many years as an LPN in hospitals and nursing homes. Barbara enjoyed helping her community through her work with the volunteer fire department. She was a very talented lady. One of her many talents was that of repairing dolls and restoring them to a near original condition. Barbara’s work with dolls earned her the unofficial title of the “Doll Doctor”. She also had a talent for growing beautiful flowers and vegetables in her gardens. Barbara’s greatest joy was that of taking care of her family. She loved them unconditionally and did everything she could to ensure their success. This special lady will be greatly missed by all those she kept close to her heart.
