Barbara Rita Bruno

Barbara Rita Bruno, age 84, of New Orleans, Louisiana, gained her angel wings on October 29, 2025.
Barbara was a loving and family-oriented woman who always put the needs of others before her own. She worked for many years in the Chalmette High School cafeteria, where she was known for her warm heart and friendly smile. Barbara loved to shop and had a heart for children, often caring for and babysitting the children of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe Bruno; her infant son, Kevin; her parents, Kermit and Ruth Fourroux; and her brothers, Albert and Ray Fourroux.
Barbara is survived by her children, Tina Pichon, Darren Labourdette, Jerry Labourdette, and Sheila Delpedio; her sister, Amelie Breaux; and by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was also a loving motherly figure to her grandsons, Garrett Pichon and Brandon Labourdette.
Barbara will be remembered for her kind spirit, her selflessness, and her unwavering love for family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation and Funeral Service on Monday, November 10, 2025, at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Roch Cemetery No. 1, New Orleans, LA.
