She was a longtime resident of DeQuincy. She was an awarded band member of DeQuincy High School. Barbara was a loyal friend and helped anyone in need.
She is survived by her sons, Louis Pool and Clifton Boudreaux; sister, Carla Yellott and husband George; brothers, Johnny Burgess and wife Wanda, and Michael "Squeaky" Burgess; grandchildren, Dallan Pool and Dallas Boudreaux; and her faithful Labrador, Buddy.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Joann Burgess; and father, Carl "Scratch" Burgess.
Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 2, 2025, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana. Rev. Mike Streams will be officiating.
