Williamsfield, Ohio - Barbara Ann Campbell, age 78, died on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, in Warren, Ohio. She was born on May 24, 1946, in Bellaire, Ohio, youngest of eleven children of Rose Pauline (Kargle) and William James Cavanaugh. On May 6, 1963, she married Harry Edward 'Murph' Campbell. Barbara was the ultimate caregiver. She took care of her family above all else. She cared for twenty-three children, in her home, before sending them off to school, sometimes having two generations in her care over the years. Barbara grew up in the Methodist church and raised her family as Methodist too. Barbara was an avid reader, loved to cook and was enthusiastic about doing laundry. She also loved becoming "Mrs. Claus" in the Andover Christmas Parade.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of sixty years, Murph; six sisters; and two brothers. Survivors include her three children, Teresa Romanowski of Andover, Ohio, Chuck Campbell of Williamsfield, Ohio, and Anthony (Marcie) Campbell of Kinsman, Ohio; five grandchildren, Chad & Dustin Romanowski, Kristen Meardith, Alli Campbell and Danielle Lahner; a great-grandson, Cole Romanowski and her brother, William Cavanaugh of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Share a fond memory or condolence at the website of Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service of Andover, www.baumgardnerfuneralhome.com To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Barbara, please visit our Tree Store.
