Barbara Kay Cantrell

Barbara "Kay" Cantrell, 80, of Cramerton, passed away June 15, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC.
She was born May 12, 1942, in Andrews, NC to the late Grady and Mary McClelland Stiles.
Kay loved the Lord. She formerly attended West Cramerton Baptist Church. She touched the lives of everyone she met. Her smile brightened the world. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all her heart. Kay was an angel who showered everyone with love and compassion.
In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Cantrell, Sr.; brothers, Johnny Stiles, Billy Stiles, and Ray Stiles; sisters, Grace Cutshaw, and June Beaver; and grandchild, Tammy Murphy.
Kay is survived by her son, Clyde Cantrell, Jr.; daughters, Mary Harmon, Martha Evans, Pam Cribb and husband, Tim, and Bevellie Caffrey and husband, Phil; sisters, Shelby Parker and husband, Jimmy, and Dorcas Phillips and husband, Steve; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
A funeral service officiated by Pastor Gregory Clark Hames, will be held 2pm on Monday, June 20, 2022, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
Family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be held at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
