Obituary of Barbara Childers
Barbara Childers, 84, widow of Billy Thomas Childers, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. She was born in Liberty, Kentucky on June 20, 1938 to the late Ed and Odell Vanay Camden. Barbara was a bookkeeper with Famers Bank where she retired in 1997 after approximately 28-29 years. She was a member of Buck Run Baptist Church. Barbara loved crafting and attending family reunions. She enjoyed watching TV especially the Hallmark Channel and she loved ordering off the QVC. Barbara loved her grandbabies with her whole heart.
She was survived by her daughter, Deanna Childers, Frankfort; her son, Doug (Lisa) Childers, Frankfort; her sisters, Alisha June Camden, Frankfort, and Willa Mae Camden (Dean) Oney, Versailles; her brothers, Clifford Camden, Sr., Frankfort, J.W. (Lois) Camden, OH, and Louis Camden, Frankfort; her grandchildren, Zachary Childers, Noah Childers, and Isabella (Paul Harrod) Childers; and her great grandchildren, RaeLynn Childers and Bexley Harrod.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Hershel Camden and Gilbert Camden.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd with Cliff Camden Jr. officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
