Barbara Keen Colson, 84, of Mobile, AL went to be with her Lord on August 3, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael E Colson Sr., beloved daughter Leslie Colson, her parents, L.J. and Hilda Keen, and her sister, Connie Smith. Her survivors include four sons, David (Beth) Edwards, Danny (Laura) Edwards, Nickey (Mary) Colson, and Michael (Heather) Colson Jr. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Brad (Christi) Dixon, Ashley (Troy) McBride, Eric Colson, Matthew (Lilliana) Colson, Hannah Colson, and
Jennie Colson, three great grandchildren, Julia and Morgan Dixon and Riley Kate McBride. She is also survived by one sister, Brenda Thierry, and a number of other relatives and friends.
She was a long-time member of Calvary Assembly of God. In addition to being a loving wife, a wonderful mother, and grandmother, she also worked at Gaylords Department Store, and as a school custodian at Meadowlake Elementary School. She loved taking trips to the Great Smoky Mountains. She had the biggest heart and loved giving
to support charities that helped sick children, the homeless, Disaster Relief, and others in need. The family wishes to express gratitude to Dr. Allen Seibert for his loving care, Adonis Sitter Service, The Retreat at Saad's Hospice and her beloved hairdresser Shirley Pierce, for their loving care and support. Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Interment will be
