Barbara Conner Obituary
Born October 7, 1940, in Springfield to parents Harold and Doris Dodd, Barbara graduated from Springfield Central High School in 1958. She married Virgil Conner on June 23, 1961, the couple had two children.
She worked in various retail positions prior to managing the office for Virgil's swimming pool business.
She is preceded in passing by her parents, her two brothers, Jim and Tom, and her son, Mark. Surviving family members include her husband, Virgil, her daughter Angela Bentley of Nixa, five grandchildren Tyler Monier and Adam Bentley of Nixa, Stephanie Black of Republic, Witney Cazell of Springfield and Lacey Beebe of Galena, Kansas.
Also surviving are 12 great-grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
During her lifetime, whenever she was able, she could be found on a local golf course, with her close-knit circle of lady friends. A kind, gentle, witty and loving soul, beloved by the entire family.
A memorial service will be held at Greenlawn North in Springfield on Thursday, February 6, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
The cremains will be interred in a family plot at Greenlawn North.
