Barbara R. Conway, 65, of Rochester, NY, passed away on January 23, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her father, Donald Rector; her father-in-law, Edvard P. Conway III; her brothers-in-law Michael F. Conway and Matthew P. Oster and several faithful canine companions. She is survived by her husband and best friend Edvard P. Conway IV of 29 years; her mother, Norma Rector; sisters Donna Coriddi(Jeff) and Lisa Gilson; mother-in-law, Barbara J. Conway; sisters-in-law Donna Conway(RIP Matt) and Karen Meyris(Eric); nieces and nephews, Nicole, Joe, Matthew, Heather and Sarah; special great niece, Ava; beloved dog Kobe; her devoted and long time friends Cathy Oliver and Tom Schlitzer, Carroll and Dave Geiger, Chris and Mary Moloney, Tom and Carole Ann Lee, along with many other family members and cherished friends.
Barbara attended Olympia High School and graduated from Monroe Community College. She worked at Eastman Kodak as a secretary for 28 years and most recently at Wegmans EAP and Oak Orchard Medical Center. After marrying the love of her life, Ed's job at Kodak had them relocate to China for four years. While there, Barbara met many people and developed lasting friendships. In fact, everywhere Barbara went, she had a knack for turning strangers into friends. She loved to travel, reminisce about old times, follow Nascar, root for the Buffalo Bills and Notre Dame, spoil her dogs, go camping, get her nails done, wear flip flops and have a good time. She especially enjoyed her trips to Florida with their friends, spending time with her great niece Ava and going on outings with her dinner buddies. The family wants to thank Dr. Lyons and the amazing staff at Unity Hospital ICU, as well as Sarah and the Hospice Team for all their care, compassion and support. Barbara will be dearly missed by all who knew her but her stories and laughter will carry on with us forever.
Friends may call Thursday (February 2nd) 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday (February 3rd) 10:00 AM at Bethany Presbyterian Church, 3000 Dewey Avenue. Interment, Riverside Cemetery. In her memory, all are welcome to wear her favorite color pink. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crohn's & Colitis Foundation or ASPCA in her memory.

So many memories of my cousin Barb over the years...the time I tried to pierce her ears, the overnights at her Gram´s house...our apartment together after college. Her laughter was contagious and her dry humor always kept me in stitches. Far too young to be leaving us. I will miss you Barb
