Craig Lee Stafford, 75, of Greece, New York, passed away on August 2, 2023.
Craig was born on July 31, 1948, to Bonneta and Earl Stafford in Mecca, California. He graduated from Greece Olympia High School in Rochester, New York in 1966 and later attended Clarkson College and the University of Rochester. He worked as a tool and die designer and computer programmer for many years.
Craig expressed his individuality freely and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family. In his youth, Craig enjoyed communicating as a ham radio operator which combined his interest in electronics with his ability for great conversation. Later, he enjoyed long-distance bicycling, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, skydiving, woodworking, and photography.
Throughout is his life, Craig enjoyed listening to music and watching movies and he could quote lines from many of them. One of his favorite musicians was Bob Dylan. In the words of his song, A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall,
Oh, what did you see, my blue-eyed son
And I'll tell it and think it and speak it and breathe it
And reflect it from the mountain so all souls can see it
It's a hard rain's a-gonna fall.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Bonneta and Earl Stafford. He is survived by his sisters, Dale Stafford and Shelley Bonacci, and six nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.

I am sad to hear of the passing of my friend of 40 years, Craig. I have many memories of our times together at south shore and custom mold. He was a unique individual and I was able to get close to him during our walk together the planet. I will always be sad knowing he is gone, but forever cherish the memories I made with him. May you rest in peace my old friend.
