Barbara Cook Macon Obituary

A native of Canton, Barbara was a daughter of the late Talmadge and Annie Mae Haynes Cook. She was also preceded in death by her son, William "Cully" Macon, III. Mrs. Macon graduated from Blanton's Business College, and was a former member of Central United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Thomas "Tom" Macon, III; son, Thomas Macon, V (Erin); grandchildren, Thekla Macon, Laura Macon McElroy (Brandon), Tommy Macon, Mary Macon, Jesse Macon and Tyler Macon; great-grandchildren, Macon and Orion McElroy; and a brother, Bobby Cooke.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 20 in the Patton Avenue Chapel of Groce Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Children's Ohio Burn Care, One Children's Plaza – 2 West, Dayton, OH 45404, or to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.

Barbara is my aunt it´s been many years since I´ve seen her. When I was young she was my beautiful aunt Barbara was full of life always smiling and laughing telling some funny story. She was away kind, caring, and loving. My mother Muriel, one of her sisters, told me many funny stories concerning jokes they played on each other at the beach house. I love & miss her. I know in Heaven Barbara is young & beautiful again full of joy, loving Jesus & her loved ones that have gone on before her. So happy her.
