Barbara E. Coutts (Brooks), of Bridgewater Passed away on September 7, 2022 at the age of 92, after a long health battle.
Barbara was a longtime resident of Bridgewater of nearly 70 years. Barbara had a tremendous sense of humor and a talent to build a conversation with anyone she met. She was a gifted artist and an avid painter and quilter. Barbara had a skill for gardening and very proud of her estate. Her main passion in life was her family, Barbara gave to everyone and was always there when someone needed her. She will be remembered for her loving, nurturing, and forgiving personality. Barbara will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Beloved wife of the late Frederick J. Coutts. Loving mother of Frederick J. Coutts Jr., Constance E Coutts, Candice A. Sullivan, Robert A. Coutts, Barbara J. Coutts, Stacey E. Coutts, Holly B. Fortin and the late Colleen Schnabel. Cherished grandmother of Frederick III, Christopher, Richard, Jeramy, CaSandra, Shaun and the late Penny. Adored great grandmother to many. Devoted daughter of the late John and Mildred Brooks. Caring sister of John Brooks III and the late Vernon Brooks and Alvan Brooks. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 9-11 AM in the Chapman Funeral Home, BRIDGEWATER. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial in Titicut Parish Cemetery, Middleborough.
In lieu of flowers, donation in memory of Barbara may be made to Joslin Diabetes Center, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, 330 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA 02215.
