Kimberly Ann Sullivan, 78, of Bridgewater, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and the compassionate care of hospice. She was the beloved wife of Eugene F. Sullivan, with whom she shared a lifetime of devotion, partnership, and faith.
Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Kimberly was the daughter of the late Robert Ersted and Ann (Leggett) Ersted. She was also preceded in death by her cherished sister, Susan, who passed away in 2014
A proud graduate of Boston University, Kimberly dedicated her career to social work-a calling perfectly suited to her generous heart. She had a remarkable gift for helping others and went above and beyond for anyone in need, both professionally and in everyday life.
A devout Catholic, Kimberly's faith was central to who she was. She found joy, purpose, and community in her church, where she sang in the choir for many years before joining the Jubilate Choir. Her years singing with the choir and participating in annual concerts brought her immeasurable happiness and deep, lasting friendships.
Kimberly loved being outdoors and had an exceptional talent for nurturing beauty in the world around her. She tended her gardens-flowers, vegetables, and everything in between-with care and pride. She adored her chickens and cherished every moment spent in nature, whether working with her hands or simply appreciating the peace it brought.
A gifted cook and an enthusiastic host, Kimberly especially loved preparing meals for her family. Nothing made her happier than gathering her loved ones around the table, particularly her cherished grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Eugene; her loving children, Marie McInnis, Ruth Sullivan, and Joanna Sullivan; and her treasured grandchildren, Paisley Grace McInnis, Emmeline Lucille McInnis, Devin Marie McInnis, Joshua James Reynolds, and Naomi Elena Doyle. Kimberly also leaves behind her sister, Lesley "Bunny" Carrigg, and her husband, Richard Carrigg; her nephew Stephen Carrigg and his wife, Maria; and their son, James, Kimberly's dear grandnephew. She also leaves her niece, Annee Carrigg Peterson, and Annee's husband, Caleb Peterson.
Kimberly will be remembered for her warmth, her kindness, her vibrant spirit, and her unwavering love for her family, faith, and community. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched.
