Ms. Barbara Jo Culbreth, 90, of Keller, passed away on July 6, 2025. She was born on January 2, 1935, in Fort Payne, Alabama, to James and Lois Chambers.
A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller.
Barbara had a warm heart and loved her family and grandchildren. She was a talented cook and an avid baker, always ready to share a delicious treat with loved ones. She showed her love through her wonderful food. She enjoyed watching her favorite television programs and staying informed of world events. To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was affectionately known as “Mee-maw”—a title she wore with great pride and love.
She deeply treasured her family and found joy when she was able to be around family , grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her son, Scott Bennett and his wife Patsy of Keller, her grandchildren, Nichole Charney and husband Matt, Alexander Bennett and wife Megan, and Elizabeth Bennett and finance Drake Powell; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Eloise Bennett, Abigail Bennett, and Miles Powell.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers: Jimmy, Mickey, Willard, and Billy Chambers.
Barbara’s legacy of love, warmth, and family devotion will live on in the hearts of family and friends who knew and loved her.
