BRENDA JEANNE CUSHMAN
Brenda J. Cushman, 64, of San Tan Valley, AZ passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 20, 2023. She was born on July 29, 1958, in Danvers, MA.
Brenda graduated from Danvers High School in 1976, and later married the love of her life, John. They made their home in Peabody and Dracut, MA where they raised their son, Scott until they moved to San Tan Valley, AZ in 2015.
Brenda was a truly wonderful woman whose impact will be forever felt by her family and friends, who love her dearly. She was a selfless human whose passing left an unfillable gap in the hearts of her loved ones. Her ability to sacrifice, provide, support, forgive, and love will be forever engrained in all she knew. She was compassionate, funny, and kind.
Brenda had a passion for reading, cooking, knitting, crafting, playing cards and board games, and was very active in her community.
Brenda is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, John F. Cushman, her son, Scott T. Cushman, her mother, Jeanne C. Maynard, her sisters, Deborah J. Horton and husband John, Colleen R. Hemelgarn and husband Michael, Kimberly A. King and husband Russell, brothers, David S. Caron and wife Allison, James T. Nihan and wife Dawn, her uncle, Eugene F. Maynard and wife Jane, countless cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends and her loyal dog, Ozzie.
She was predeceased in death by her father, Rene R. Caron.
A celebration of life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on August 18th at Solera at Johnson Ranch Clubhouse, 31891 N. Echo Canyon Road, Sant Tan Valley, AZ 85143.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one of the following organizations in Brenda's memory. Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at www.dana-farber.org or the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) at www.nami.org.
