Barbara L. Cyr

Barbara L. Cyr, 83, of Bethel, passed away at Danbury Hospital on October 20th. Born on July 9th, 1942, in Danbury, Connecticut, Barbara was the daughter of the late John Thomas McCormack and Alberta Viola (Akers).
Barbara spent her years traveling with her loving husband of 60 years, Richard. They just finished an amazing trip to Paris. She had a love for national parks, with a goal of visiting them all. Barbara enjoyed hitting the casinos and pushing her luck with the penny slots. She also had an affinity for puzzles and birds; cardinals were her favorite.
Other than Barbara's husband Richard, she is survived by her daughters, Michele Cyr (Chris) and Tammy Drazul (David); her son Michael Cyr (Barbara); her siblings, Judy Lynch (Joe), Jimmy McCormack (Bonnie), and Debbie Azzarito (Tony); many nieces and nephews, as well as her grandchildren, Zachary, Alex, Kyle, and Rebecca. Barbara is predeceased by her brother, William McCormack.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the form of donations to the National Park Foundation.
Services for Barbara will be held at a later date through Bethel Funeral Home.
