Barbara "Barbie" Jean Dedert of Milton, Florida passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025.

She was born in Dallas, Texas on August 27, 1983, the second daughter of Edward Gary Dedert and Rebecca Darnall Pass. She was the mother of four sons; Austin Kochert, Blake Paul, Aiden Paul and Preston Paul. She was the grandmother of EllieRenee Paul.

Barbie is preceded in death by her father, Edward and granddaughter, Ellie.

She is survived by her mother; four sons; sister, Rachel Eileen Dedert Richardson; brother-in-law, Jeff Richardson, and step-mother, April Smith.

Barbie attended Rittinor High School in Overland, MO. She worked in a variety of jobs in moving and storage and hospitality then in 2010 she returned to school at West Kentucky Community and Technical College to study counselling for a career in law enforcement. She joined the Army Reserve Military Police Unit in St. Louis, but due to an injury during training she received an honorable discharge. She went on to serve as a corrections officer at Blackwater River Correctional Facility and then Okaloosa County Jail.

Barbie was a licensed esthetician, and a graduate from Celebrity School of Beauty, in Miami, FL, as a Makeup Artist. At the time of her death, she was attending Northwest Florida College to prepare for the HESI test in pursuit of her nursing degree. It was her goal to open her own Health and Beauty Spa.

A Celebration of Life is being planned to honor her.
