Sara Esther Cotten King, 83, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026 at 8:11 a.m.

with her daughters by her side.

Born December 11, 1942, Sara devoted her life to

family, faith, and the quiet beauty of nature.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Dan King; her son, Danny Wayne

King; her parents, Trammel and Irene Cotten; sisters Ann Melton and Jean Stephens;

and other loved ones.

Sara is lovingly remembered by her daughters Dara King Vogt (Craig) and Dana King

Fleming (Jody); grandchildren Daniel Hodges, Dawn Hodges Drane (Benjy), Leah Kelly

(Nick), Brandon Vogt (Nere), Victoria Richardson, and Sarah Smith; great-grandchildren

Christina Sellars, Savannah Hodges, Izzabella Oliver, Izzak Oliver, Sophie Kelly,

Lawrence Kelly, Henry Vogt, Gibson Drane, Diego Vogt, Jaxen Vogt, Atticus Kelly,

Augustus Copeland, Jameson Drane, and Elias Copeland; and siblings Sherria Felder

(Hunter), Harlon Cotten (Renee), and Fae Dyer (Michael) along with numerous

extended family members.

A steadfast and selfless caregiver, Sara stepped forward to help raise her siblings after

the death of her mother and later welcomed and supported her nephew and nieces

Michael, Pam, and Lisa Cooley. She found deep joy and peace in the natural

world-feeding the deer and birds and delighting in God's handiwork all around her. Her

life was simple, faithful, and richly fulfilling.

Sara was a skilled and dedicated professional, working many years as a master

seamstress at Vanity Fair and later as a Department Manager at Walmart. She and Dan

involved their children and grandchildren in family life and activities, creating lasting

memories and strong family bonds.

Sara's quiet strength, loving devotion, and appreciation for life's simple pleasures

touched all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday February 10, 2026 at Beaver Creek Baptist Church 6989 Beaver Creek Highway Baker, Florida 32531 with visitation from 11:30-12:00 pm and services at 12:00 pm. Graveside will take place immediately after at Beaver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery 6989 Beaver Creek Highway Baker, Florida 32531
