Leonard King Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Turlock Memorial Park & Funeral Home on Feb. 21, 2026.
Leonard Allen King, born on April 5, 1962 in San Jose, CA passed away peacefully on Feb 9, 2026 in Turlock, CA. He was surrounded by his loving wife and children at the time of his passing. Leonard was the beloved husband of Dawn King and devoted father to his sons, Dalton King, Logan King, Joseph Mancebo, and Nathan King, as well as his daughters, Brit Clicquot and Tonni Bhatia. He was also a proud grandfather "Papa" to Madden, Brenden, Macee, Mackenzie, Kennedy, Kamille, Sheyenne, and Isla.

Leonard is survived by his brother Manuel King and wife Kathy King; sister Arlene Vierra and husband Leroy Vierra; brother Chuck Richard; his nieces Kristin King, Lisa Betschart, and Diane Oliveira.

Leonard's parents, Manuel Picasso King and Lucille Helen Addison, preceded him in death.

A man of remarkable spirit and determination, Leonard achieved a historic milestone at the age of 17 when he became the first ever American born individual to grab a bull as the front guy as part of Grupo De Forcados Amadores De Turlock. His passion for this unique tradition reflected his adventurous nature and deep connection to his community and heritage. In addition to his accomplishments with Grupo De Turlock, Leonard found great joy being a youth football coach, loved his NFL team "The Raiders," riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and driving his side-by-side. Most of all he enjoyed just being with his people.

Leonard loved his career as a truck driver. He loved the open road and took pride in his work behind the wheel.

Leonard's legacy is carried forward by those who knew him best, his family and friends who will forever cherish their memories of him. May his memory bring comfort to all who were fortunate enough to share in his life.

A Rosary and Mass will be held on March 7, 2026 at 10 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 8471 Cypress St., Hilmar, CA, followed by A Celebration of life.
