Barbara Jean Dillsworth, 89, of Terra Alta, WV, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown with family by her side.
She was born July 24, 1934, in Rowlesburg, WV, a daughter of the late Raymond and Geneva (Shaffer) Wagner.
Barbara attended the Whitedale Brethren Church in Terra Alta; she was a very religious woman believing in God and the Bible. Barbara was often known to hug everyone. She would often volunteer at nursing homes in Preston County and Garrett County and would sing for the residents. Barbara loved her family, her pride and joy were her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
She is survived by one son, Donald Dillsworth; three daughters, Mary Trenum and husband, Kenneth, Donna Tasker and husband, Paul, and Loretta Lynn Dillsworth; six grandchildren, Dona Ida, Heather, Andrew, Jacob, Brogen, and Bradon; two step-grandchildren, Brian Cress and Danny Cress; two great grandchildren, Evan Tasker and Thomas Sisler; daughter-in-law, Maggie Dillsworth.
In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard James Dillsworth; one son, Michael Dillsworth; three brothers, Ralph Wagner, Donald Wagner, and Raymond Wagner Jr.; two sisters, Alice Hovatter and Margaret Teter.
Friends may call at the Arthur H Wright Funeral Home in Terra Alta, WV, on Monday May 20, 2024, from 10:30 am until the 2:00 pm time of service with Pastor Stanley Waybright officiating. Interment will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Terra Alta.
