Mpls - 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2025, at her home in the Knollwood Place Apartments in Minneapolis.
Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, Barbara lived a rich life that took her from Minnesota to Texas, California, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Scottsdale, Arizona, before she returned to Minnesota to spend her final two years.
Barbara's professional life was as varied as it was accomplished. She worked in retail, became a Registered Radiologic Technician, and spent many years as a Personal Financial Advisor. She was passionate about education and the arts, teaching Sunday school and founding Masketeers, a trouping theatre. She remained active in community theatre for many years and was instrumental in creating the Minnesota Association of Community Theater, which continues to this day.
Upon retirement, Barbara embraced new creative pursuits with characteristic enthusiasm, turning her attention to sculpting, writing, and public speaking. A prolific writer throughout her life, she found joy in expressing herself through the written word.
Barbara cherished her time playing bridge, traveling, reading, and cooking. Above all, she treasured every moment spent with her beloved family-her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her sister Marlene (Laury); her three children, Laurie (Jeff), Howard (Judy), and Barry (Anoushka); ten grandchildren, Shaia, Shulie, Yossi, Noam, Eran, Leor, Elina, Naima, Liana, and Zara; and eleven great-grandchildren.
In her memory, Barbara would prefer that donations be made to the charity of one's choice.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 16th, 2:30 pm, at Adath Jeshurun Congregation, 10500 Hillside Lane West, Mtka. Arr. by Adath Jeshurun Chevra Kavod Hamet & www.Washburn-McReavy.com
