Barbara A. Durrum

Barbara Allen Durrum (1934-2024) was a loving, bright spirited and dedicated individual. Born in Madison County, Kentucky and moved to Lexington Kentucky where she made her home with her husband Bucky Durrum and children Richard Durrum, Billy Durrum and Debbie Durrum. She is survived by her daughter Debbie Durrum, her grandchildren Jimmy Durrum, Crystal Collins, Summer Kleier and Shelby Durrum, along with her great-grandchildren, Carrie Collins, Amanda Collins, AJ Kleier, Bradley Kleier, Emma Durrum, Collin Durrum and great-great-grandchild Carson Holt. Barbara loved spending time in the sun on the river. She enjoyed painting, writing poetry, cooking, writing songs and taking pictures. She dearly loved her animals including her cat Fifi and dog Max. She was treasured for her witty sense of humor and spunky personality and was known for not giving up without a fight. Barbara brought warmth and joy to everyone she encountered, and her passing will be deeply mourned by everyone who knew and loved her. Her memory will remain in the hearts of her family, friends and all those who were honored with the privilege of knowing her. Funeral services will be 12:30 pm Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Harrodsburg Road. Visitation will be 10:30 am – 12:30 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
