Barbara Ann (Mizer) Enderle, age 93, of Columbus, Ohio died June 13, 2025 at Friendship Village of Dublin surrounded by her family. Barbara was born November 10, 1931 in Dover, Ohio to the late James and Carrie (Stucky) Mizer. She graduated from Dover High School and pursued a nursing degree from Ohio Valley Hospital in Steubenville, Ohio. She retired from teaching at School of Practical Nursing in Columbus. During her retirement she enjoyed traveling, reading, volunteering, and going to listen to the orchestra, especially when they played music by J.S. Bach. She also was a Parish Nurse at her church, Clinton Heights Lutheran Church. Her most surprising retirement activity was learning to tap dance, which she did well into her 80's.
Barbara is survived by her daughters, Maureen Dow and Elaine Enderle, stepdaughters: Mary (Allen) Johnson, Teresa (Kevin) Johnson, and Denise (Rinnie) Lowery, grandchildren: Andy, Leslie, Joshua, Tim, Dominique, Jeffrey, Nick, Casey, Cameron, and James, as well as great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Enderle, son, Jeffrey Dow, and brother, James Mizer.
Visitation will be held at Clinton Heights Lutheran Church at 15 Clinton Heights Ave, Columbus on Thursday, June 19 2025 from 10am to 11am. Funeral service will begin at 11am with Rev. Ralph Wolfe Officiating. Burial to follow at Union Cemetery in Columbus, OH.
The family would like to thank the staff at Riverside Methodist Hospital - Orange 4th floor, and the staff Friendship Village of Dublin - Alderwood, for all of their care, love given to Barbara. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clinton Heights Lutheran Church.
