Barbara Evans Obituary

Barbara "Barb" was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on August 8th, 1953, the daughter of Edwin "Butch" and Florene (Fryer) Evans. Barb graduated from Knoxville High School in 1973. After high school, she moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa where she went to work for Quaker Oats, and remained there for thirty years until her retirement.
Barb was special to everyone that met her. Her mom always said she was a gift from God. While in school, her teacher, Mrs. Truman, taught her to knit. With that talent she made gifts for family and friends. She also liked to bake. All her nieces and nephews loved her "fat" chocolate chip cookies. She had a heart of gold and loved her family and friends with all her heart.
Those left to cherish Barb's memory include her siblings, John (Kathy), Pat (Lewie), Jim (Corlinda), Sherry (Steve), and Dave (Brenda), along with many nieces and nephews.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Barb.
