Voorheesville – Barbara “Bobbie” A. Gohman, 84, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025.
She was born on February 2, 1941, daughter of the late Charles and Harriet Tommell.
Bobbie grew up on a farm in Clarksville, NY along with her sister and two brothers. She was a sweet and nurturing soul, as meticulous as she was caring. Bobbie graduated from Bethlehem Central High School in 1959, and was on the Tulip Queen Court in 1961. In that same year, Bobbie met the love of her life, Wayne Gohman. Married on August 24, 1963, Bobbie and Wayne began their wonderful journey together and shared many, many happy years. After living in Wayne’s home state of Minnesota, Bobbie and Wayne returned to the area and settled down in Voorheesville, NY. Bobbie worked as a Legal Secretary for many years and was one of the most generous souls, supporting her husband and family without fail, the definition of a devoted Wife and Sister. Bobbie went on many adventures with Wayne, and was always the brightest light at events and gatherings. While Bobbie and Wayne never had children, Bobbie acted as a Mother to all and will be dearly, dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, Bobbie was predeceased by her husband, Wayne Gohman and her sister, Patricia Gaul.
She is survived by her brothers Nicholas and Samuel Tommell, and her nephew, Joshua Gaul.
