Mary Jean Gohman, age 95, formerly of Florence, Kentucky passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025. Formerly of Florence, Kentucky, Jean was born in Covington, Kentucky, on May 19, 1929. She dedicated her career as a salesperson with Electrolux and was a devoted member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Florence. Jean was a pioneer in her community, becoming one of the original physical education teachers at St. Paul Elementary School in 1968. For 14 years, she passionately engaged her students in physical activities, instilling values of health and movement even after her own children graduated. In the early 1980s, she began selling Electrolux vacuum cleaners with her brother, Bob Moeller, working tirelessly until she was 93. Known for her warmth and ability to connect with others, Jean was a true people person who brought joy and conversation to those around her. She was an enthusiastic fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and University of Kentucky basketball, and enjoyed traveling with her beloved husband and her brothers, Bob and Art. Most importantly, Jean cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by her family. Jean is preceded in death by her husband, John Paul Gohman, who passed away in 2000; her son, Paul Gohman Jr., who left us in 2003; and her sister, Carol Ann Luebbe. She is survived by her loving sons, Donnie Gohman and Christopher (Patty) Gohman; her supportive brothers, Bob Moeller, Don Moeller, and Arthur Moeller; her grandchildren, Heather (Jake) Kol, Tiffany Gohman, Christopher Gohman, Angie Gohman, David Johnson, Daniel Gohman, Shamra Gohman, Megan Gohman, Paul Gohman, and Bethany Gohman; her son-in-law, Rob Luebbe; and her many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 PM on Friday, February 14, 2025, at St. Paul Church, located at 7301 Dixie Highway, Florence, Kentucky. Visitation will take place from 10 AM to 11:30 AM on the same day at Stith Funeral Home, located at 7500 US 42, Florence, Kentucky. Following the service, Jean will be lovingly laid to rest at Forest Lawn Mausoleum in Erlanger, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, her family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to any hospice organization, reflecting the care and compassion Jean brought to the lives of so many. Jean was the older sister one is lucky to have. Smart kind spiritual and very verbal you could take up a conversation as if no time even months had intervened. She was for a while one who was late, arriving to see me off to Rome 10 minutes after my flight left.
Jean loved white Zinfandel and on trips including cruises one did not have to ask to order. Jerri and I so enjoyed our trips with her and Art. We both loved her and know we have a special advocate with our Lord.

My name is Susan Jean Moeller (now Argo) named after my lovely Aunt Jean. She always greeted you with a smile along with a big hug and kiss. She was so kind and always on the go. A farvorite memory is her answering machine:
"if it doesn't clean, call Jean!" She loved her family and was always one to encourage and care for others. I love you Aunt Jean.
