Barbara J. Goodwill, 61 of Vanderbilt, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Munson Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord.
Born January 27, 1964, in Detroit, she was the daughter of William and Virginia (Perry) Hanback. At an early age, she moved to Wolverine with her family for a brief time, and later to Vanderbilt, where she graduated from Vanderbilt High School.
Barbara met her future husband, Paul, while working for the State of Michigan. They were married in Gaylord on December 26, 1986.
Barbara worked at Cooper Standard in Gaylord where she was molder operator. Previously she worked for the State of Michigan, including the time she worked at Otsego Lake State Park in Gaylord, also at K-Byte/Reptron in Gaylord and at Treetop Resort.
In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing with her husband Paul, cooking and baking, crocheting, and playing cards and other games at family gatherings.
Barbara is survived by Paul, her husband of almost 39 years; sisters, Penny Hall, and Tammy Staskievitz; brothers, Steve (Gwen) Hall, Joe (Carrie) Hanback, John (Sheri) Hall, Dan Hall, and Jim (Tonya) Hall; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Theresa Dunham; and a brother, Doyle Hall. Her brother-in-law, Rod Staskievitz, passed away one day after Barbara, on July 13, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service where visitation will begin at 1:00 PM. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
