Michael Chester Sevenski Jr.

Michael Chester Sevenski, age 74, of Gaylord passed away on January 28, 2026, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan. Mike was born on January 18, 1952, in Gaylord, the son of Mike and Celia (nee: Kuzmik) Sevenski.

Mike is survived by his children Lisa and Luke, along with his siblings, Larry Sevenski, Joan Wasylewski, James (Linda) Sevenski and Cecilia (Daniel) Smith. Further survivors include his nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Maria, and his sons Michael and Kieth, also his siblings, Anthony, Edward, Patrick and Rosemary.

Mike spent his working years in the glass business, working many years for Gaylord Glass, and later opening his own business, Boyne City Glass, until his health demanded he retire.

Cremation has taken place and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine Catholic Church, in Boyne Falls, on February 16, 2026. The Sevenski family will receive friends and guests beginning at 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 a.m., Revered Fr. Dennis Stillwell presiding.
