Barbara Ann Jenkins Green, a beloved wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt and friend peacefully returned to heaven on December 16, 2024 at the age of 91 to celebrate Christmas this year with Jesus Christ.
Barbara was born September 8, 1933 to Burton and Iona Jenkins and lived her childhood in Newton, Utah on the family farm with her three brothers Ralph, Don and Richard and one sister Marj.
Barbara attended elementary school in Newton and graduated from North Cache High School in Richmond, Utah in 1951. Years later, a young man named Daryl Willis Green, finally got enough courage to try and get the attention of the beautiful girl he had his eye on by throwing snowballs at her and her friends on the campus of Utah State University. Operation Snowball was a success. Daryl and Barbara fell in love and 4 months later they were married for time and all eternity in the Logan, Utah Temple on May 27, 1960.
During their 64 years of marriage, Daryl and Barbara raised two daughters Lani and Trisha along with three sons Troy, Travis, and Tyson at their home in Roy, Utah. Barbara was grandma to eighteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Barbara's number one priority and greatest passion in life was always family. She helped raise and take care of her children and grandchildren with unconditional love. She attended every possible activity and event she was able to for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren whether it was awards assemblies, baptisms, birthday parties, recitals, sporting events and other. However, her greatest joy was having family parties where she always made sure there was too much food, lots of laughs, and where everyone felt welcome and loved, and then there was Christmas.
Christmas was the one time each year that created the wonderful memories for all of us. The grandchildren and great-grandchildren not only saw her as Grandma Barbara, but also considered her as Grandma Christmas. Christmas will never be the same, but the memories from Christmas past we will cherish forever.
Barbara loved listening to country music, watching Hallmark movies, drinking Diet Coke and having memorable trips to Hawaii and Branson, Missouri with her best friend and sister Marj.
Barbara was a devoted and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving in the Primary, Young Womens, and Relief Society. She also served a mission in the Monte Vista Ward along with Daryl.
Barbara is survived by her devoted husband Daryl. Her five children, Lani (Wade) Hall, Troy (Angie) Green, Travis (Shay) Green, Tyson (Cally) Green and Trisha (Peter) Maller.
Barbara is once again reunited with her mom, her dad, and brothers Ralph and Richard who preceded her from this mortal life.

Also, we all want to thank you Dad for taking such amazing care of Mom. Your selfless love you showed with taking such good care of mom these past few years gave us precious bonus time to spend with mom we otherwise would not have had. We love you.
