Barbara Ann Halstead

Barbara Ann Halstead, 93, of Naperville, IL passed away on February 16, 2026. She was born on May 22, 1932, in Aurora, IL the daughter of Edward and Hattie (Pautzke) Bartholomew.

Barb was a graduate of East Aurora High School and a proud Tomcat. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother who cherished her family above all else. Her life was a true testament to unconditional love - she seemed to have written the very book on it through the way she cared for others with generosity and grace, never expecting anything in return. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially knitting, crocheting, fishing, and tending to her garden. Through every stitch sewn, every flower planted, and every quiet moment by the water, she poured her love into the world around her. Her kindness, warmth, and selfless spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Martha) Halstead, Deborah (Ken) Hunley and Pamela (Michael) Smith; grandchildren, Tina, Jason, Jim, John and Heather and 11 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband, James.

Family will be receiving guests on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home. The burial will take place at a later date at Spring Lake Cemetery, Aurora, IL.
