Shirrell Ann Hall, age 91, of Coal City, IL passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Morris Hospital.
She was born on January 16, 1935 in Morris, IL to Anton and Jessie (nee Perino) Togliatto. She married James D. “Jim” Hall at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Braidwood on October 8, 1960. Shirrell had several careers over the years including as a long time teller at the Centrue Bank in Coal City. She and Jim also owned and operated The Diamond Café in Diamond and Bochman Brothers Jewelry Store in Aurora. A lover of entertaining, Shirrell spent much time cooking, baking and sewing for her family and guests.
She is survived by her daughter, Maria Catherine Hall; her sister-in-law, Marcia Togliatto; her special nephew, David Doglio and her special friends, Lorrie Stogsdill, A.J. Stogsdill, Lindsey and Josh Seibert and their son, Wesley Seibert, Joey and Peggy Parthum, Michael and Jill Panko and Naomi Bianchetta. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Jim in 2017; her parents, four brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon at the Ferrari Funeral Chapel, 1044 Ferrari Drive, Coal City, IL 60416. Pastor Richard Giovannetti will officiate. Burial will follow at Braceville Gardner Cemetery.
