Barbara Mae (Clark) Harmon, born April 24, 1929, age 96, passed peacefully at home May 23, 2025, surrounded by family.
She was born in Moline, KS, to Marvin and Opal Clark. Later they moved to Dewey, OK, where she attended all grades, graduating high school 1947.
Barbara grew up in a household filled with music. Her Dad entertained the family playing multiple instruments. She looked forward to the weekends knowing there would be singing and dancing. Gene Harmon stole her heart when she realized he was such a good dancer, reassuring her he was the "right one", later waltzing her down the aisle of marriage March 17, 1950.
She was the beloved Mother to three children, Gayle and (Billy) Neher, Ashdown, AR, Rick and (Angie) Harmon, Talala, OK, Clark Harmon, Bartlesville, OK.
Barbara had a passion for helping people. She was a Social Worker for Department of Human Services working for seventeen years until retirement.
She loved her flowers, gardening, and cooking. She was known at the holidays for her mincemeat pies and her apricot brandy cranberries. Her passion was taking care of her family in every way, being the glue that held the family together. Later in life her mission was keeping in contact with lifelong friends,
old classmates, and relatives.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Harmon, parents, sister, Patty Mitchell, brother, Larry Clark, grandson, Cole Neher, along with numerous other family members.
She is survived by Gayle (Billy) Neher, Rick (Angie) Harmon, Clark Harmon. Four Grandchildren, Callie (Zac) Jones, Andy (Nikki) Harmon, Todd (Samantha) Harmon, Ashley (Robert) Brumley. Twelve great grandchildren, Bryton Neher. Gracie, Gwendylan, Crosby, Helen, Vivian Harmon.
Josephine, Kate, Callahan Harmon. Brooke, Ciera, Destiny Brumley.
