Barbara J. Heberle

Barbara J. "Bobbie Jean" (Sheasley) Heberle, age 79, of Erie passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Manchester Commons. Born on January 25, 1946, in Franklin, PA she was a daughter of the late Robert Sheasley and Eileen "Patricia" (VannAusdall) Laing.
Barb started her career at General Electric Company, then worked many years as the purchasing agent for Telatron Marketing Group. In her later years, she enjoyed working at Lakeview laundromat, making friends with many customers, who appreciated her dedication to making customers happy. She loved all animals, dogs, cats, birds, and especially cardinals.
Barb was also a country music fan, with Brooks & Dunn and Kenny Rogers among her favorites. She enjoyed reading, soap operas, Life Time movies, and Law & Order SVU.
She is fondly remembered as a generous person, who would take anyone into her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Michael D. Heberle, infant son, Mark David Heberle, a sister, Mary Laing, and her special aunt and uncle, Bobbie and John McFadden.
Survivors include five children, Lisa Wood (Joe Passerotti), Brenda Sutton (Ben), Dan Heberle (Tiffany), and Angela Hixon (Brian); step son, Michael Heberle (Arlene); four grandchildren, Alyssa, Richard and Jason Wood, and Madelyn Hixon; two step grandchildren, Taylor and Jake Heberle; a nephew, Clay Thomas; a brother, Mike Laing; a sister, Bonnie Bish; and several nieces and nephews.
Barb's family would like to thank the nurses and aids at AseraCare Hospice and Manchester Commons, who not only took care of her but formed bonds that were irreplaceable in her heart.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th St. Services will be held there on Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Trinity Cemetery.
