Barbara Sue Herrmann

Barbara Sue Herrmann, 90, died Wednesday December 11, 2024 peacefully at the Raitan Bay Medical Center after a brief illness. Barbara was born in New York City, and later moved to Oradell NJ. She spent most of her working career in the insurance industry. She was a devoted daughter and dedicated significant time to taking care of her widowed mother. She was also interested in improving her community and served on the Zoning Board of Adjustment for 16 years, 13 as Secretary. She was a longstanding member of the Reformed Church of Oradell where she served on the Consistory as an Elder and Deacon, as well as the Archive Committee and the Guild for Christian Service. She did so faithfully until time required her to relocate to the Reformed Church Home in Old Bridge where she served as President of the Residence Council. Barbara had an independence uncommon in women of her generation. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is predeceased by her parents Fredrick and Mabel Herrmann and sister Janet of Oradell. She is survived by numerous cousins scattered throughout the United States and abroad. Barbara will be interred next to her parents at George Washington Memorial Park.
