Barbara Lynn Hester Brown, 80, of High Point passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Atrium Health High Point Medical Center.
Born October 28, 1945, in Guilford County, she was a daughter of the late Roby Homa Hester and the late Dorothy Maxine Cowan Hester. Barbara was well known for being a horse trainer and trader who had over 70 horses in her lifetime. She was also a well known wallpaper hanger with a large clientele in the High Point area. Another love of hers was painting with great detail. She loved her family and to travel. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She is survived by her daughters, Lori Brown Bundy and husband Scott and Lisa Brown Simmons and husband, Jeff; brother, Robby Hester and wife Susan of Trinity; sisters, Judy Clodfelter of Wallburg, Patti Soto of Thomasville and Toni Creasey and husband Don of Thomasville; grandchildren, Ross Bundy (Ellen), Holly Bundy, Madelanie Reeves (Austin), Joseph Simmons (Eliza), Gabriel Simmons, Michael Simmons, Matthew Simmons; great grandchildren, Octavia Eaton, Kiyah Siler and Lainey Siler.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Erroll Brown.
Funeral services will be 6:00 PM Friday, March 6, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1830 Chestnut Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
A private burial service will be held at a later date.
