I just found out about Barbara's passing and I am deeply sorry for the loss of such a kind woman. She was such a dedicated, hard working, smart student. I had many classes with her at BSL and enjoyed talking to her. She would have been a great attorney. My prayers go out to the family.

Dr. Hicks was such a kind sweet person and I know that David and the boys know that better than anyone. She brought a calming peaceful spirit to the hospital when she was there with students and was a wonderful person to work with. She has instilled in so many people, the way nursing should be carried out. She will never be forgotten and left a mark on everyones heart that she touched. You all will remain in my prayers.

David, Josh and Jody,
I am so sorry for your loss. I know that this time in your life seems dark, sad and painful. Day by day it will get better. Barbara will want your to remember the fun days and not replace the good memories with sad thoughts. It wont be long until we all get to heaven and see her again. I know that she is there already getting things in order. Just as only Barbara can do.
